Curse of the Crimson Throne
Lamashtu
The Mother of Monsters
Goddess of monsters, madness, and nightmares, Lamashtu is the mother and protector of many misshapen and malformed creatures that crawl, slither, or flap on, above, or below the surface of Golarion. Once a mighty demon lord, Lamashtu’s murder of a minor deity paved the way for her own apotheosis.
Followers of Lamashtu seek out deformity both in themselves and others. She is typically venerated by monstrous races, many of whom identify her as their progenitor, but some human cults practice her dark litanies in secret. In all cases, she encourages her faithful to corrupt, mutilate, and defile all that is fair and beautiful, while seeding her vile progeny far and wide.
As a god-murdering demon usurper, Lamashtu is hated by all other deities, an animosity that she fervently welcomes.
Lamashtu’s unholy symbol is a three-eyed jackal head.
Followers of Lamashtu in Korvosa
Considered too degenerate even for a shrine in the Pantheon of the Many, worship of Lamashtu is officially prohibited in Korvosa and its domains. However, some followers of the goddess still practice in secret, including the Rat’s Teat Boys in the sewers.
