The newest district officially added to the city, South Shore’s population consists mainly of the city’s nouveau riche hoping to escape the cramped conditions elsewhere. A small enclave built specifically as an embassy for Mierani elves stands in the district.

South Shore is also home to the famed tea house the Jade Circle, which offers luxuries from distant Tian-Xia. Young socialites gather in it by day to trade gossip over high tea, while by night it is favored by bravos discussing the latest tournament fights over mulled wine. The Jade Circle is not a brothel, as its owner will insist, but it does provide rooms for gentlemen and ladies seeking private company by the hour.
